Foreign. Here we are for what's up this week from do this. Not that this is where we do a short episode on new stuff that we're seeing this week.
And this week's gonna be a big week for reality tv. I will get to that at the end because it's really not important. But what is important that is going on this week.
So Instagram confirmed something that I think is interesting. They are going to be rolling out soon a friend map that is extremely similar to Snapchat's friend map.
Now, you may or may not know what the friend map is, but I have teenage kids and I will tell you that all they do is go on the friend map and see where all of their friends are. It's really unbelievable. You can literally see where anybody is at any moment.
And so Instagram is going to be rolling out a friend map, which I think is going to pull that much more traffic to Instagram and open up a whole different types of opportunities for marketing. So friend map coming to Instagram.
Another thing that we saw this week that we thought was interesting was that TikTok launched something that I'm finding very useful, which for the first time they launched something called their Trends Digest. So on a monthly basis now TikTok is publishing a trends digest of what they are seeing with are different kinds of trends.
What are the content formats that are trending, what are the audio files that are available for everybody to use that are trending, just breaking down all sorts of different trends. And it's not trends where hey, you should go buy this new piece of clothing. It's trends for business owners and marketers to leverage.
So if you want to get access to this newly released TikTok Trends Digest, the URL is crazy long. So all you really want to do is go to Google and and Google TikTok Trends Digest. It comes out monthly.
One just came out and I'm finding it super helpful because for marketing in general, forget about marketing. On TikTok, you're able to see the trends and you're able to replicate them whether you're a business marketer or a consumer marketer on any platform.
Because what's trending on TikTok oftentimes works on LinkedIn, it works on Instagram, it works in your email. You always want to be of the moment. So TikTok Trends Digest is super cool. Saw this email stat that I need to test.
I have never done this before and it is from HubSpot and the stat was personalized Call to action buttons perform 202% better than basic call to action buttons we're talking about within email campaigns, personalized call to action buttons. I never really thought about personalizing a call to action button. Right. We personalize things in the subject line. We personalize things elsewhere.
But if you actually personalize the buttons, they do really well. So you could do things, for example, in the button in your email, it could say new customer discount, exclamation point.
And that's personalization down to the fact this person just became a new customer and now you're sending them something different. Or on the business side, maybe you want to have your button. If you're promoting an event, it could say first time attendee rate, exclamation point.
Right. Where you're personalizing basically on the fact that this is their first time potentially attending.
I'm also going to be testing putting the name in the actual button. We know that name in the email subject line doesn't do as well as it used to do, but name in the button itself, J, comma, whatever.
I haven't really tested that, so I'm going to check that out. Thought that was a super interesting stat from HubSpot. Moving on to some ridiculous things going on this week. This is a huge week for reality tv.
And I'm going to pause for a second here because I don't want to want to give any spoilers away. If you are not caught up on Love is Blind, if you're not caught up on the Bachelor, you should stop listening. I'm counting to three. One, two, three.
Okay, so Love is Blind. This week has their finale, and that is going to be on Wednesday. This is going to be unbelievable.
I don't know how they get these people to go all the way to the altar. I don't get it. I don't know why they torture their families, but that's going to be on Wednesday. Wednesday.
And then the other big thing this week is Bachelor. On the Bachelor, Joey's doing hometowns.
All right, now the question this week for hometowns, for the Bachelor is who do you think Joey's going to wind up with? And we're down to Daisy, Kelsey, Maria, and Rachel.
Now, Maria has really gotten a lot of heat this season, and I'm going to tell you right now, here's what I think is going to happen. I think nobody asked. I think it's going to come down that he's going to choose Maria ultimately, and she's going to say no. That's my hot take.
That's what's going to happen. On the Bachelor, Joey's going to wind up alone. He's going to go on Dancing with the Stars. And that is what's going to happen.
This is the important information you get on this podcast. So hope you check out our episode a little later this week, which is our Ask Us Anything.
