“Our Email Campaigns Are Not Doing Well” is a really dumb statement.

‘OFFERS’ perform differently. Knowing the performance of different types of offers can radically change your overall email marketing results. ‘OFFERS’ are like people…everyone is different. ‘OFFERS’ should have specific expectations based on which one is used. So here is a BREAKDOWN of B2B and B2C ‘OFFER’ performance in RANK ORDER based on data from LAST 30 DAYS:

YOU’LL PROBABLY IGNORE THIS TIP

The real secret to email marketing is doing a ton of SMALL THINGS that add up to big overall results. Adding a “P.S.” to your email sends is super easy, costs nothing, and you probably won’t do it…Yes, I am talking to you!

P.S. EXAMPLE:

POLITICAL EMAILS ARE THE WORST!!!!!

First off…Both parties are spammers, and you can thank them for hurting your email performance…And, Google (for the first time) is prioritizing political email for this election and not allowing ANY of it to go to JUNK in Gmail. So, even more garbage will be in everyone’s inboxes. Which leads to lower overall performance for all of us. Yay!!!

NEXT 60 DAYS:
Email Marketing Open Rates Go Down as Compared to Non-Election Year Within 60 Days Leading into a Major Election:
Business: Open Rates Lower 13%
Consumer: Open Rates Lower 15%

So Annoying!

EATING:

I am constantly rediscovering either cereal or ice cream. Every few weeks I am like “wait a minute…ice cream is really awesome!”. I then proceed to buy 4 pints of things with names like “Boom Chocolatta Cookie Core”. It’s like I am the Magellan of snacks in my home.
